Blog #8, Fall 2024

This week so far has felt really busy and I haven't been in the studio as much as I would like. We started off the week with a makeathon after class which was fun to hang out with everyone and make some stuff. Ryan Hailey and I talked about our plans for our show and I got started on a piece that we will colab on. I didn’t make it back out to the studio until class time on Wednesday which I spent that time mixing clay with Molly. The big piece that I finished last week is still up and drying which is a win that I will take. The next day Sarah helped me load my big piece into bailey which went a lot better than anticipated. I ended up firing that piece and one other Friday morning and both lived! I finished the base of the collaborative piece for our spacelab show, and finished processing the wild clay we gathered last week from the creek! I was able to use some of that clay in the colab piece.
