Pot I’ve been working on this week

Little tests “crown shyness”

Wow wow! What a week! This has been my first week in the IUS studio, and I can’t express how excited I am for all to come! It has been fun and scary to meet all new people in the studio. I am eager to get to understand and know everyone else’s work. This first week has been full of so many different emotions for me. Every time I have started work in a new studio I am filled with so much imposter syndrome that it can be hard to want to get started, or can feel like what I am doing isn’t “good” enough. This week has had a good amount of wins though so that is encouraging.

I took a large portion of the summer off from clay due to lack of studio space so it is nice to get back to work. Feeling rested and ready to explore new ideas. Spent as much time as I could taking in nature and trying to notice it around me. I think natural forms and phenomena will always continue to inform my work so it is good to get out in nature actually.

Can’t express how excited and grateful I am to have this opportunity to learn and grow as an artist.
